Back in Black... and White

So as you can tell I decided for my next entry to be a select few portraits that I took over the past couple of weeks that I thought looked good in black in white. As nice as color is, to me there's something special about black and white, something that makes me look at a picture more, think about it more... admire it more. For portraits especially I think black and white adds a little more character to it, removing and distracting factors like a colorful background or the cloths a person is wearing.

My New Blog

So today out of sheer boredom I decided that I was going to start a new blog. I'm not sure what I'll use it for though. I thought this would be a good place to start placing my photos for views, comments, suggestions. I also thought this would be a good place to start with some journalistic and literary writing... why not. So for my first post I figured I might include a nice picture. Here's a photo of a flower I found outside of Lower. It makes a great desktop wallpaper!
